Since a young punk of fifteen, Deputy Bradshaw's on my tail,
convinced I'm some kind of worthless criminal sludge.
But he had no goods on me able to keep me long in jail
and I always got let off light by every judge.

each time a judge threw a charge out on- its ear.
Looking more like some dumb clown w/ ev'ry trumped-up bogus case,
you might think he might back off after each time I'd been cleared.
