    SANTA GOT RUN OVER BY HIS REINDEER
    falling off of our house Christmas Eve.
    The roof had been all slicked & iced by Grandpa:
    revenge for making Grandma be deceased.

We were all so proud of Grandpa.
He'd been taking it so well.
But he tired of TV dinners,
doing his own wash and needing help.

In the year since Grandma's passing,
Grandpa took to plotting his revenge.
Reindeer poison, traps, machine guns:
any way to cause old Santa's end.

    CHORUS

But as the year approached December,
Grandpa took to scheming carefully.
So he won't be implicated,
it had to seem it happened nat'rally.

Christmas Eve saw Grandpa hosing,
squirting water on our roof.
Christmas Day, I saw him gloating
at the tangled pile of SANTA, sleigh & hooves.

    CHORUS

Lots of people saw the carnage,
not a pretty Christmas sight.
No one understood why Grandpa
danced an Irish jig 'til late that night.
