Now, "closure" is a trendy word.
Before that was "completion".
Those words don't mean all that much to me.
I still have open wounds.
Some memories may pass and fade,
but here, there're painful lesions.
The image of my young sister's face
will go with me to my tomb.

The eyes set deep within her head
that spoke no words but sorrow,
so empty, hollow and drained of life,
so full of dread and pain.
The sunken cheeks, the thin gray skin
that knew no more tomorrows.
The shaven head, the dry pale lips
that I'd never see again.

    IF THE HOLOCAUST WAS A MYTH,
    WHERE IS MY SISTER?
    Do you think I made it all up,
    part of some massive sympathy plan?
    IF THE HOLOCAUST WAS A MYTH,
    why do I miss her?
    Why is this emptiness still inside me?
    Why is this number burned in my arm?

On April 20 in '45,
the Fuhrer's happy birthday,
two hundred people were called outside:
each minute, two shots fired.
The Nazis wrote down ev'ry name,
elimination their way.
My sister's name is on that list.
I still can smell the fire.
