we didn't have a clue:
a relentless horde of aliens
taking over me and you.
We didn't see it coming.
How could we be so blind?
Now, our hindsight's close to per-fect
as we look back over time.
THE DAY WE WERE INVADED,
we didn't stand a chance.
When they came on like they're man's best friend,
we were lulled into their trance.
They gave us what we wanted,
took only scraps and bones.
Wasn't long 'til we were suckered in &
we brought them in our homes.
Invasion, persuasion, infiltration, camouflage,
They snuck their way into our ranks non-stop.
Invasion, castration, domination, who's in charge?
Now tell me who's the master? Who's on top?
THE DAY WE WERE INVADED,
we thought we had control.
'Though at first, we taught & trained them well,
now who really looks the fool?
They spend the whole day sleeping.
Do we see through this fog?
Still, we feed & clean up after them.
Our life's going to the dogs.
