And, for sure, you can trust your priest
without question or guilt.

1: Steven met Father Damion
on the first day of catechism class,
a kindly father figure
for a little boy who'd lost his dad.
It wasn't long 'til the freckled kid's
helping out with the giving of the Mass.
There were baseball games, little red toy trains
& fun times to be had.

2: Steven thought Father Damion
was the best that could ever, ever be.
He'd help him with his homework.
He would help him out through times of change.
It wasn't long 'til the young priest's hand
came to rest on his little student's knee.
When it stayed too long, was this something wrong?
It seemed just a bit too strange.

3: Steven found Father Damion

The boy was feeling guilty.
He was angry, bitter & confused.
He wouldn't play with the other kids
& for sure Mom could never, ever know.
When he stayed too long, was this something wrong?
He felt like he had been used.
