Visions of Flipper being hooked and hacked and killed
scream through my brain waves as I read this email text.
Photos of carnage leaving little unrevealed
impact my eyeballs. Shocked and angry, I'm perplexed.

    BLOODY TALES of butchered WHALEs
    IN THE FAROES.
    BLOODY shots of pilot WHALEs slaughtered helplessly.
    BLOODY TALES of butchered WHALEs
    IN THE FAROES
    as their guts are spilled in the bright red sea.

"Calderon dolphins" still are driven to the beach,
part of a ritual as their young men come of age,
gaffing and hacking as the dying mammals screech.
Their friendly intelligence being murdered, I'm enraged.

    CHORUS

        With a little research, things are not quite as is told.
        With a little research, I feel used and manipulated.
        Facts have been twisted and mixed with blatant lies.
        But even with this research, but even with the truth,
        do we really want this massacre to continue?

I'd thought, as humans, we had left such things behind:
brutal, barbaric, vicious primitive old traits.
Aren't we, as humans, somewhat much more civilized?
Must we continue in our savage ancient ways?
